has anyone ever herd of this chip i found on ebay and its for 98-00 5spd 4.0 and i was wondering how good it was its only 20$ and will it work with my auto??

If its $20 then its not worth it man. Just save up for the good stuff, you will probably have to get that one reprogrammed anyways.

 

well its a used that went to a same truck as mine but i dont know if 5spd means auto or man, but ya i never herd of them i was just wondering

dont buy "chips" they are just resistors that you can buy at radio shack for less than a dollar. they try to trick your ECU into thinking the air comming into the intake is colder than it is.

there's no $20 mod that will give you good power gains

My dad sell those chips among others at his diesel shop.
They work much better on diesel applications.
We threw one on my dad's '91 F-150 5.0. It greatly
improved the transmission shifting. It would blow away
my 89' F-150 5.0. But I never raced it before the chip.
MonsterGuy, you can get those reprogrammed at a
DiabloSport dealer for the auto tranny. Unless the computer
is a different style for manuals.

 

Yup I sell these as well for all types of applications... very reputible company. I would choose Diablosport anyday. I have sold countless diablosport tuners and chips for f-150 lightnings and other forced induction vehicles because diablosport is the one who has learned how to tune them just right.
