cruise control non op

cruise control non op

I was driving to work the other day went to put the cruise on and i noticed the light did not come on so i set it again and nothin checked the fuse could not find a burned one. by the way 2004 ford ranger. thanks for the help.

Did you check to see if it was hooked up?

i used it last week i have not worked on the truck recently exept for looking at the fuses
after i found i had no cruise.

Any of these will cancel the cruise or cause it to refuse to set:

Deactivation switch (on master cylinder)
Brake Pedal Position switch
Clutch Pedal Position switch

Of course there are other possibilities to look at like fuses, opens and grounds.
