Camshaft synchronizer
replacing camshaft synchronizer on 1995 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4. I took the 2 screws out of sensor and removed the sensor. Then I loosened the 10 mm bolt but it’s hitting the bottom of the sensor. It has the glass top sensor. The bottom of the sensor is aluminum which is made into the synchronizer. So I figured I would pull the bolt out when I removed the synchronizer but the synchronizer will not move at all. Spent 3 hours trying to get it out and made no lead way. Any help thanks

Synchronizer is just frozen in the hole.
After bolt is loose Synchronizer should turn left and right in that hole so you can adjust timing, if it doesn't turn then it has just been in the same position long enough for it to be frozen, 22 YEARS, lol.
Just tap on it's sides to break it free
Then lift it up to get the bolt out the rest of the way
