A/C in a 1993 ranger solutions
Hello,
I Recently purchased a 93 ranger and have been fixing it up. The A/C does not work, and in brief research it seems like it gets charged by a chemical that is no longer legal. What should my route be here?
One thought I had would be to tear out the A/C system completely for better power. Is this feasible?

If AC is not working at the moment then you have all the power available, AC only uses engine power when its on and working
And the 20 or so pounds of equipment won't slow you down that much, lol
Google: 1993 Ford Ranger Convert AC from R12 to R134a
Look at any of the articles/videos, it's pretty much the same on all cars
And 1993 Ranger is 29 years old, so how do you know it hasn't been converted already?
1994 was the last year R12 could be used in a new vehicle, 28 years ago, most vehicle AC systems need to be serviced every 5 to 8 years so...............
It may have already been converted, look at the articles and look at what you have
