Air box Mod

I've seen some posts about an air box mod, is this possible on a 95 XLT 3.0? Mine doesnt actually have a "box", mine is the cone shaped one.

Stock air box has 200% air flow so you can't get much better

Reads like someone has installed a "HOT AIR intake" to replace the stock Cold Air Intake, which reduces power

Picture of hot air intake here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=209479&d=1501483610
It sucks in the warmer air from inside engine bay

The stock air filter box has a hose to the engine and another hose to the Rad support that pulls in the cooler air from in front of the rad support behind the grill, pulls in air from outside the engine bay

One heads up
If you can HEAR air being sucked into an engine then there is turbulence and its a bad setup
If you can't hear it then its smooth flowing and a good setup
