air bag switch on a '97.....

how far up the dash does the airbag switch go before it plugs in, or does it go all the way through in the wiring harness? i need to extend mine and it would be easier to take it out and do it then try to extend the wires in the truck....

IIRC, the plug socket is molded as part of the PAD switch assembly, meaning that there are no external wires to extend. I think that your only option is to extend the wires in the dash harness.

that is what i had planned.....i just didn't know if the wires went into the dash and then pluged in or if they ran back into the harness.......i was wanting to take the wires out of the dash to extend them....
