Well . . . I tried putting my Trans Temp sender in one of the two plugs which apparently eliminated my 2nd gear. I put the 3" long plug back in and 2nd gear is back, I have not tried the other because I'll just tap into my cooler line.
A = where sender was, when sender in I do not get 2nd gear.
B = another plug, have not tried yet
C = 1/8" to 1/4" adapter
D = Trans Temp sender, 1/8" threading and only about an inch long.
Any other suggestions? I'm about ready to go buy a "T" to read into the cooler lines.

Unless I downshift and keep it at 4krpms or above, it stays around 135-150. I don't have synthetic fluid, nor do I have much as far as engine mods go.
Pretty much stock temp.
When I'm ofrroading 165 is the norm...I hit 180 when I spin a lot and if I'm really really stuck trying to get out.

John, I have some questions about your oil gauge install. What type of lines did you run from the gauge to the sending unit? The lines supplied with the kit are nylon..I don't feel real comfortable using those. Did you use braided stainless steel lines? Also, How did you connect the lines to the top of the analog sending unit? It seems like it should be simple, but this has me confused...

When replaced, it has to be put at a very specific torque to make the transmisstion work right. That nut around it is the locknut to keep the adjuster from moving.

I used an electrical gauge that has a pressure sensor that sends it's signal back to the gauge electrically. I don't like mechanical oil pressure gauges because if it ever comes apart in the truck -- it's a mess!!!
