Icon5 06+ power mirror installed on 05 and older. Need help from those who have done it

I'm about ready to install and I wasn't sure if the plug was the same. I saw someone say theirs didn't match and I just wanted to see if that was the case for all of the 05 and older or if it was hit or miss?

Edit: Here is a picture of mine modded like shane's write up.

I plan to have a mod edit my how-to to include the power portion. Mike, would you mind taking pics and giving a short description of what you had to do to make them work properly? I've got an idea in my head but I've no power truck. lol. Through PM is perfect.

Thanks Mike. Yeah...colors are probably different, but having the connector view and what each wire location does, well, you can totally finger it out. No holding hands needed. lol.
