Wipers on my ranger wont turn off. They wont delay inbetween wipes even at the lowest setting, they are always working. I checked the relays under the hood and they seem to be fine. Is their some kind of switch built in the motor or under the dash that has gone bad??

 

Check for water in the Smart Junction Box under the passenger side kick panel.

 

I just checked, no water. Is their some kind or relay or siwtch related to the wipers in that box??

 

The interval function is timed by the Low Current Circuit Board in the SJB. There have been several reports of water getting in there and wreaking havoc on the radio, wipers etc. But if you don't have that problem, you'll need to look elsewhere.

The electromechanical relays for the washer and wiper motors are out under the hood in the Power Distribution Box. Check your owner's manual for a map of the box. If you don't have an O/M, check my signature for a link.
