yay there paying UPDATE

whatever call me a dick for claiming it but the guy called back n i told him that i rolled my truck. without askin how or why he just goes are you ok. i said yes. he goes well thats good to hear within 30 days go get an estimate and then file your claim. i ask if i need to make some kinda apointment to see a claims adjuster or whatever. he says nope you didnt file a police report so we wont have to send one out. anything else i can help you with Mr. Vartiak. No sir. goodbye click HOORAY. im prolly trading her in on somethign very non offroadable after its fixed.

UPDATE
So claims adjuster came by today. he said its prolly totaled. They just put her on the flat bed to take it to the shop to get a very detailed estimate. I have whats called the "Keeper" policy. so what that means is that the value of my truck is now the value of a brand new 06 version of my truck. They figure out the repair costs and whatever those are if they are less than the cost of a brand new truck (but more than the value of my truck) they give me that in the form of a check. So i could get more $ than my trucks worth. That 10 bucks every 6 months might just pay off. The flat bed driver said it seems like the frame is twisted a bit just by lookin at it. oh well this all turned out well so far

Once you roll one vehicle you don't wanna roll another one.

Of course I'm going bigger and better with my new truck. I understand his mindset though. I wanted a T/A or a Mach 1, but I got enough speeding tickets in my truck.

hmm yeh if i do get another ranger its gettin lowered. i dont even want the temptation. ill get my trills on the track in a camaro or stang i think. or a 4.0 ranger LOWERED. id rather crash it at the track that roll a truck agian. will see what happens though. it might get totaled who knows.

Well, Jeff, I was hoping to wheel with you sometime, lol. Hey, don't let it throw you if it is -- just wheel with people in slightly more controlled situations.

But if a street truck is what you really want, that's cool. I'd just hate to see one bad (okay, quite bad) experience turn you off to offroading.

Either way -- good news on the insurance!

i think i just phrased that wrong. i will wheel but in a pos beater b2 or ranger or something of the likes. no way in HELL will i ever take a new truck wheeling specially if im still paying on it all this opened my eyes and made me realize that honestly offroading isnt worth it when you have to do it in your daily driver. plus the lack of leagal wheeling places around here yeh makes it not cool. badlands is close but id never take my truck there if i fliped it on flat ground in a field basicly.

so you've notified your insurrance of the accident, and they told you to get an estimate and file your claim??? when you go to file the claim, won't they then ask the detailed questions (who what when where why... etc.). i'd think that would be when they'd get ya. then again, i dont know how it works, so im probably dead wrong. if you are in the clear, good to hear it. ive got the same attitude towards off roading a vehicle i still owe a lot on, just can't risk it!

Congrats on that. In response to your question Sean when I filed the claim on my truck for the tree that hit it they asked questions about where it happened and what not. They also claimed it under my comprehensive so no upping of the insurance rates.

They're not going to approve your claim if the estimate is high enough, they'll lowball you and then you'll have a salvaged vehicle thats not worth much on trade.

just so you know, filing a claim does not mean that they are paying, necessarily...

when you file the claim, they can deny you coverage, then raise your rates.

Get another Ranger with 2wd and LOWER it and get some racing tires, you wont make it through wet grass.

If you get it covered, just lower the 2wd you have now, its not like you are lifted or have offroad tires on it.
