Looking to buy LordofWar's XCAL 2 tuner from him. It has a LaSota racing tune on it. He took the tune off of his truck when he traded it in.

The tune is not VIN specific. He contacted LaSota and asked if the tuen can be used on another truck. The email response was no. Could this be because they want us to spend the money for another tune or is it the truth?

Can I use his old tune on my 05?

I am in the process of getting a tune as well. The tunes they write are specific to the truck, so from what I am learning it will not work for yours. Also if a tuner shows as "married" or "locked", you have to pay SCT 150.00 to unlock it or wipe it, then pay for your tune. If you need more help, shoot me a PM, I will hook you up with a guy that is showing me the ropes as well on these.

 

If your truck has the same hex code (which is very unlikely) it should work. Otherwise you will need to pay the $50 to get a tune written for your truck.

I've read up on Don at LaSota racing, and from what i've read he sounds like a very trustworthy guy.

Looks like i'll be contacting him to take care of the tunes.

Question is...what tunes? I'm thinking the 91 performance. But maybe 91 torque too?
