The "Would you get rid of yor Ranger for...?" Game
Just an idea, especially since everyone seems to be wanting to get rid of their Rangers lately.
1. Look up the Private Party Value of your truck on kbb.com
2. Post a picture of your truck
3. Then answer.. If someone gave you that amount for your truck would you take it, no questions asked?

Mine is still basically new and they dont have 09s on KBB yet.
THey do have 08s though. Excellent condition private party value is 18,475 for the 08 optioned out like mine. 09 should be worth a hair more, so yeah... id sell it for that price. ha ha. even after paying off the loan i wouldnt be out anything. Then id go out and buy another one cash and pocket the difference.
in my case its flawed because it would be cheaper to buy a new one than a used one.

Wow... now I'm realizing the deal I got on my truck...
Alright, KBB gave it a value of $6,045...
N.A.D.A. gave it a value of $6,500
Now, if some individual came up to me and said "here, I'll give you KBB value for it" It'd be a tough call. One side of me would say take the money and go, another part says I'd leave it due to the fact that off the bat I'd see a $1500 profit off it.

I wouldn't sell my Ranger to anybody I don't know. Why? Because I have put so much into it that if I sold it to somebody I didn't know, I wouldn't know what kind of shape it would be in. My friends and family know what it mean to me, so I know that one of them would take care of it.
I know that the KBB value of my truck is low, but it's not high enough for what I would sell it for.
One of my favorites of the truck:
The Dodge, on the other hand, I would gladly sell for private party value (because it's higher then what it's worth, LOL!).
It may be somebody else's problem on Monday

Wow. Even with over 250 000 miles, my KBB value for private party using a Detroit zip code is $6760 as I rated mine in "Good" condition. Fair would be $6085 and excellent would be $7310.
I have about $4000 invested in repairs and modifications. To get over $6000 for it would give me a $2000 profit. I would definetly sell it for that kind of price. If I was offered anything less than $4000, I would just keep it. It has too many miles on it for me to think it has any sort of resale value left.
