personal choice. I'd say 1.25, less is best.

The more it sticks out, the more strain it will put on your drivetrain. So go for the 1.25". It'll look good no matter what size you use.

i beleve adapters with there own studs on them so they have enoufgh thread to lock on to unlike the spacers that just sits on the hub and takes up thread space

no, they're spacers. The definition of adapters i believe would be changing from one lug pattern to another. So adapters might fit on your 5x4.5 bolt pattern and allow you to use something like chevy or toyota wheels. Spacers come in two types also, the little ones that just fit inbetween wheel and hub, and the bigger ones which have a set of lugs on them.

Better read the fine print. Check out these Eibach's they're 158-183 per pair but the have the hub aligner. I too looked into wheel spacers. If you're looking for new rims anyway; why not get something with a different back spacing? It'll do the same thing the spacers do. I'd feel much better about 3" backspaced rims (as opposed to 4" stock) getting an inch on each side from the rim not some piece of aluminum. Your call though bro.

I think he wanted to keep the tires/rims he had. He could've gotten 15x8 rims and bigger tires fo sho though. just a lot more expensive.

as far as the needing to trim the lugs for the factory wheels with the spacers, using the 1.25" spacers and the '03 aluminum 16s things just fit with the way they are. although I need to check the fitment of the spare, because the lugs do stick out past the spacer a tiny bit, I think at some point I wanna pull the spacers off and do a quick trim with the cut off wheel to get things down flush so there isn't an issue with any tires on it. the 1.5" spacers wouldnt have any issues with this.

^^ yup, the stock wheels have holes where the other lugs stick out so they sit flat. but like with my new cragrs the back of the rim is flat so it would hit the studs sticking out, so i took the spacers off

lol 20k aaron, nah prolly like 10k and thats pushing it. i got em last year and my truck has 50k on it, and ive had it for almost 4 years

ok so i put the spacers on last friday night at like 11pm and i have been torqing them to 100flbs, i have noticed that when on the highway they feel like they are out of ballance and like i can feel every little bump on the street. is this normal when u put them on ull feel little more aggresive.

also on the +side the turning feels a lot better and smoother and on the bigger bumps i can go overthem faster without loosing my teath. speed bumps feel like nothing now.

so is this normal to feel. i did sand down the part where the spacer fit onto the hub and i have torqed them atleast 3 times now and last time none were loose they were still tight.

thanx

can anyone help me i trying to see why they are rattling my truck apart. there awesome on the main roads but when i hit 60mph or it downshifts to switch lanes it feels like its about to HAVE LIFT OFF!!!
if its a prob i going to take off tomorrow and toss in the trash!!
they look perfectly normal and even all around so i dont know why they would be off balance. and i know my tires are balenced correctly because i just had that done about 3 months ago.
