what to do about a failing transmission?

when you install the torque converter MAKE SURE THE CONVERTER "DROPS" IN 3 TIMES BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE TRANS! as you turn and push the converter into the trans it will move in 3 times to engage.
when you have the pan odd, turn the screw on the EPC solenoid 1/2 of a flat in to up the pressure
when you adjust the bands, it will tell you to tighten them to 120 in/lb and 2.0 turns out....only back them out 1.5 turns
you also have a 5r55e
i work on these trans' almost every single day, i hate them with an undying passion

well i dont have any smaller tires to put on. so before that, im gonna do the fluid and TC and see if that makes a difference. if not, then its time to find some small tires and head to ford. actually... my dad has the stock tires off his 08 sierra 2500 4x4.. they're around the same size as a range.r and they fit 16's!

Ty.....a local dealership to me wouldn't honor a warranty claim on a tcase because of the 32" tires. The guy had to borrow my 31's and go to a different dealer to get it warranty work done. I didn't know you had 4.10's...i was just asking cuz you never know. lol.
Check out Flex-o-lites selection of trans coolers. I think the 18,000lb one is perfect for a dd+wheeler. Mount it in front of the a/c condensor for a nice cool charge. They're not that much money either. Alot bigger than stock.

and i think if i do end up going to the dealer i'll mount up my dads stock tires from his sierra and take her in. think the BL will cause any problems?

bl shouldn't as it doesn't change pinion or driveshaft angles, you don't have to unbolt the transmission to do it... but you never know... it depends on your mileage, because the dealership gets paid for the warranty service, as if it were customer paid work, either way... ford motor coporation may send someone to investigate if the warranty is still valid though (i was told this by my dealership, and apparently the only time they have seen this happen was someone who had their motor completely blown, like piston through the head type blown... and he was like a month of driving from the end of his warranty

good idea with those stock 245's from the jimmy. I don't think you'll have any issues with the lift. Heck, if you had 33's I dont think you'll have issues. But on 35's, too risky for questions IMO. lol.
