The "What did you do to your Ranger today" thread
#3926
this build will take me a few years to do though since i have things more important than my truck that im saving money for such as repairs and updates to my house i just bought and saving for my wedding next year which is first and foremost. the most i gonna do to my truck this year is a series 44 flowmaster muffler to replace the one i had to cut off after the truck backfired and blew a hole in

Ha yeah that makes sense. Regardless, I'm still excited to see this build.

Damn, I haven't been back in this thread since Sept 15, 2010. A lot has changed since.
However, yesterday I installed a complete train horn kit (150 psi, 1.6 gal tank, 150 db, triple trumpet) for $150. I've wanted one for a while, just because. It is quite douchey, I know, but it's fun, and bitches talking on their cell phones to their sorority sisters and the grumpy middle-aged fart that is chilling in the left lane will hear me on the highway now.
I don't haul ***, but passing traffic at 70 mph on a 65 mph highway should not be such a problem around Houston.

Powerdome!!!1!111!1!

^facebook image. Apparently it cant be inserted on RF
Cost me $30 and was covered in dirt when I bought it. Cleaned it up and was greeted with very bad condition paint. Chipped in places, what look like oil spots, tons of micro-fractures, and a weird haze to it. Going to get quotes for paint soon, but for now I temporarily installed it to reap powerdome goodness.
1. This sucker is heavy, much more then I was anticipating
2. Thinking im going to need to find an edge front assembly and finally have honeycomb/maybe offroad lights behind style grill. Not 100% sure yet

Just got back from ashland city tenn. The ranger did great was hoping for 10 mpgs but on the road it ran great and got 13! No over heating and ran like a bat out of h---. put on almost 900miles in the week and enjoyed every one of them. Now after the rain stops i have to clean him up . 89ranger 351w,c4,33x12.50x15 extened cab , 7in.lift, speedo is off only showing 60mph as i was on interstate 65 and speed limit is 70 passing everyone, black and shinny.

found the flowmaster muffle i want for the truck and when i get paid next i plan to get it and rework my exhaust a bit. i talked to the local muffler guy and he said to get the sound i want i need to go with a flowmaster 44 series and move it as close to the cats as possible. when when i get it and some extra pipe ill cut off where the cats connect and get rid of that joint since its lookin a bit rough and splice the muffer in right there and just fill in the gap with pipe. behind the rear axle ill cut the 90 bend off and run the pip straight back
