The "What did you do to your Ranger today" thread

No but the customs guy was a dick. I told him I was bringing booze back with me, he's like...
"did you buy it there or here?" Canada.
"Duty free or liquor store?" LS.
"are they closed?" one open one closed.
"where are they?" in blue cooler.
"is that a fridge? Did you buy that over there?" brought it with me.
"what's in it?" pop.
"oh, who is the registered owner of this truck?" me
"ok, have a good day."
Tool.

I had forgotten how DAMN GOOD DWB looks when cleaned and waxed up. Hint hint, nudge nudge. That's what I did today. Oh, and bolted the bed back down.
I'll have to try to remember to take the pics. Honestly, anything professionally sprayed-in is gonna be way better than the Dupli-Color product I used. I'm satisfied with the outcome given what I was out ($35 after 25% off the sale of $80, plus $25 mail-in rebate). But overall, I wished I had looked around for alternatives to the $450 Line-X product. But for $35, you can't go wrong. My case is different than others and that offer isn't there any longer though.
I always rock a bed-mat so getting a liner was very low on the priority list. I wanted to give her a shot since it's so little money out on my end.

Picked up new uniballs for my UCA's, new lower ball joints, and my camburg 2.5" coils arrived today. Just need to buy the bilstein 5100's =)
Agreed. Need to clean mine up though, I left her in the garage for 10 days while in Utah and came back to a cm of dust ontop of the wax.

Funny thing is mine's been garaged since Friday and it's basically been raining ever since. So hopefully the sun will come out and not make my work uselss other than neat water droplet puddles. lol. I kinda wanna see what she looks like with sunlight hitting it again. Been a long 2 years since the last real exterior care-for event occured. lol.

like the tiny tube that was welded to the big EGR tube, which the tiny one connects to a rubber vacuum line to the EGR DPFE box thingy. The one on mine is broke clean off. Needs to be welded back on.
Found that little issue about 2 months ago. Nope, still didn't fix it.

Fixed the infamous FPFE code PO401 today, had the code a few days. Had a high idle also. Installed a factory replacement, was 58 bucks at local Ford Stealerhship.
Checked out EGR, hoses and such - nothing else evident. Drove it about 25 miles runs great, No CEL codes so far. 90k on engine, so as rwenzing says it is a matter of time until we replace. Will post if code re-appears.

It's always those little things that keep getting put off...

Finished up my sound deadening project this morning. Used 37.5 sq ft of Raamat BXT II and 2 yards of Ensolite P&S. Haven't driven the truck yet to see how much difference there is on the road, the speakers sound a helluva lot better. Great product, easy to work with and install. Cost me under $150 to my door and about 12 hours to install everything.
