Value of '05 FX4 Level2 (Black/Auto/27k)
I've thoroughly enjoyed my truck since I bought it new in May 2005, but I simply don't use it anymore.
It has sat in the driveway untouched for the last 6 weeks (with the exception of about every third week that I've driven it to the grocery store, just for the sake of running it every once in a while)
So I'm looking at selling it, but I'm curious as to what the experts think it's worth...
The Specs:
2005 Black FX4 Level 2
Included (standard on every Level 2):
4.0l OHC V6, 4x4, 4 door, Bilstein Shocks, 8.8" rear end with Torsen Limited Slip Diff, Power windows/locks/mirrors, Cruise Control, bucket seats with center console, fog lights...
Options: Automatic Transmission, Towing Package, 6 disc MP3 Changer
(It's got basically every option you could get on a ranger except for the Pioneer/Tremor Stereo)
Mods:
- Waag Bar with Hella Rallye 4000 Compact Driving Lights (wired into High Beams)
- Spray in Bed Liner ("ArmourThane" a local version of Line-X or Rhino Lining)
- Xtang Soft Tonneau Cover
- Ford Bed Extender
- Tinted front two windows to match factory tinting in back
- Diamond Audio 4 Channel Amp (mounted completely under drivers seat so you can't even tell it's there)
- Polk/Momo MMC570 Speakers in the front doors (stock 5x7's in the back still, I was planning to put an 8" sub in the rear door, but just haven't gotten to it yet) It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty close for my taste. I think it sounds better than any "premium" stock stereo I've heard lately (including the tremor)
- About half of a bulk pack of Dynamat Xtreme applied on all 4 doors (equivalent to 2 "door packs" per door)
That's about it for options and mods. It's in Good-Excellent condition, ~27,000 miles, been off road twice (first on a snowy trail to get a Fresh Christmas Tree last year and once in a muddy field to extract a friends Jeep from a mudhole)
It's a black truck, so there are some swirl marks (but they were mostly there the day I took delivery of it too) no real scratches, dents or blemishes to speak of.
KBB, Edmunds and NADA all say between $18k and $22k, but I've seen similar age/mileage XLT's and FX4's (not level 2's) go from about $13k all the way to $24k
So I'm curious what the feeling of the forum is for what I should ask (or if anyone's interested Im just north of Seattle, Washington and I'm accepting offers... )
Thanks in Advance

$17,000
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

Blue Book Private Party Value
Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is" and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.

$18,380
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.
Fair
$16,805
"Fair" condition means that the vehicle has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. The tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage.
