My distributor is not coming out of my 93 ranger and I cant figure out why. If anyone can tell me any way to get that thing out of there I would really appreciate it! Trying to replace the head gaskets and cant get the lower manifold off until I get that distributor out of the way.

 

the distributor turns into the engine. On the (inside) of the dist, next to the engine is a gear which u cant see, try turning it counter clockwise as you pull on it. (i think)

 

It took a lot of wiggling and prying but its out now! Thanks for the input! Now to just get the heads off and I'll be half way through.
