Tranny & motor leaking in between
K so it's a 93 w/ 3.0 4wd auto, just bought it for 600 ran fine, except minor stuff. But when I shift from P to D it would rev up just before engaging to drive. Now as I write this I'm currently stuck off the side of the highway with a major leak between the transmission and the engine itself. Has anybody ever had an issue like this before cuz I've never taken the two apart?

Welcome to the forum
Rear main seal leak is a fairly common occurrence on any engine, its the crank shaft seal at the back of the engine, pumps oil out pretty fast when engine is running
But with an automatic the front seal can leak although not at all common
You should be able to see if the substance leaking out is oil or ATF
In either case transmission must be pulled back/off to repair
Previous owner may have put in "stop leak" additive in the oil to swell a failing rear main seal, its just a temp fix
