Thinking of purchasing a JL300/2 Amp
Hey guys, I've been looking at purchasing an Amp and a Sub for my truck.
Firstly, I drive a 2009 Ranger Extended Cab.
The equipment does NOT have to be earth shattering - though I do want it to sound good responsive, and most important - tight.
At least the time being - going to have this hooked up to my factory stereo with Sirius built in.
I've found a few that interest me, so I thought I'd come here to get some good advice.
The sub I'm looking at is a Sony Xplod 10" in a sealed enclosure. Here's a pic of the sub,
Amazon.com: Brand New Sony Xplod Xs-lb10s 10" 1,200 Watt Shallow Mount Subwoofer Enclosed in a Slim Truck/car Box **Free Shipping** *Click on Last Photo to Read Review By Ramona From Nc*: Electronics
I'd like to know if it's worth it. Price at the store close to home is $120.
The Amp I'm interested in is a JL Audio 300/2
*edit* Here's the link for the Amp I'm considering
http://www4.shopping.com/xPO-Jl-Audio-JL-300-2
I've found a seller willing to sell it for $200 slightly used. Or - there's the model at the store that is brand new that will include tax and likely be closwer to $300
This equipment is going into a stock truck, and really TBH just want it to sound better than it does NOW. I'm not interested in competing, though I would like the option to expand my equipment if that time ever comes
ANY advice on what components to get for my new stereo would be great.
Thanks
Randy
