Solved:
So I'm trying to check my timing with the harmonic balancer and my engine torn down to the piston heads. Whenever I bring cylinder 1 "drivers side front of vehicle" To the top and check the timing gear/notch thats supposed to be around tdc its never even near the crank sensor. I've turned it over multiple times and checked to make sure im on the compression stroke or whatever. It always seems to be with the piston all the way down when its on the tdc mark. Is this even possible and am I doing it right? Thanks

Edit: Figured out piston one is actually passanger front of engine and tdc marks do line up.
