Spare 32???
#26
my spare is 31 x 10.5 and it just barely fits under there .its like 1 or 1.5 inches from the exhaust. If the exhaust was moved to the side i think a 32 MIGHT be possible.
the owner manual says to not use 4wd unless you have to. If you do have to use 4x4 don't go over 10 mph or farther than 50 miles. Obviously a LS or locker you need to have the same size tire so move the small one to the front but it says nothing about this in the ford manual.
I got a flat way out on a rough road in the sierra at about 12,000 feet up . I had no idea i shouldn't use 4x4 . I drove it normal with the small one on the front . I never go over 25 mph in 4 lo and spent most the time going about 10 mph but i definently got up to 25 once or twice in 4 lo. I traveled about 15 miles ...
maybe the different tire size isn't as big a deal in low traction situations cuz the tire can easily break loose.
I've had no problems so far with my 4wd. i've changed the front and rear diff fluid aswell as the transfercase and found only a normal amount of metal shavings.
there is a big need for an affordable bolt on swing away tire carrier with jerry can mounts. The only one on the market has to be modified to fit newer rangers.
When its time for new tires i wanna go with 33's but i'm hesitant cuz a 33 inch spare really doesn't fit
