Yes thats right 20k.

I put it up for sale on Auto-trader in fear of my GF yelling at me for have two black ford rangers. But all she did was laugh at how sick I am. So she isn't pressuring me to sell it. I jacked the price up from 17,5 to 20,5 because I thought no one would buy it. I eventually may have to sell it in 6 months and didn't want to pay for another auto-trader ad so I jacked up the price. Well I have already gotten two inquiries from auto-brokers.

I am fine having two trucks, I love them both. I don't need to sell either, but having no debt and 10 k in cash, 5 after all cc are paid off would be nice. No not nice, life changing.

What do you all say?

I got mine for 16K a few months ago, and it looks brand new, so I would say if someone wants to pay 20K for it, sell it!

I'd say sell it too... That's much higher than book...

One question though, you said that brokers called you right? I had brokers call me when I was selling my cycle a while back, and they all wanted to do is "help" me sell the bike through consignment. Did you get all the details from the people that called you? Just make sure you get everything spelled out, and money in hand before you trust anything they say.

I'm with Elmo - those are offers not cash in hand
and watch out for brokers or resellers - they are in business to make money not give you a good deal
when you get the cash we will all celebrate with you
good luck!!

Man, if someone were to offer me $20k for my truck.. I wouldn't even hesitate. Gone! Bye, good doin' business w/ ya, see yah round..

Seriously man, I PAID $19.5k for mine brand new 2 years ago!

Maybe I oughta throw an ad up on 'auto trader'. I've been half tempted to get something small and better on gas..

I would bet there scammers. If you go through with the sale, CALL the issuing bank of the check and verify it is not a forgery.

I think you might be right. Here is the email I got back.

Hello Kyle,
I am pleased to inform you that based
on the state of the car in the description you gave
me, my client has finally accepted your price,
hopes the engine is serviced and oil changed as
he cant wait
to see the car parked in his garage.
However, My client made out a certified cashiers check
of($32,500)
before he travelled to london on a business trip,
for a previous car and its shipment charges etc,
but it was unfortunately sold.
The amount on the check he deposited for the car is
bigger than what should be
paid to you now, so the check is now meant for the
total expenses which includes the purchase of your
car,the pick up of the car from its present location
and the shipping charges/other necessary
shipping arrangements.
However he has instructed us to
carry on with this transaction; but due to company
policy this check has to be made out in this amount
to you because company policy only allows a refund
payment on one cashier check.
So you're required to
deduct the cost of your car ($20,500)and send the
balance of($12,000) to my client via western union
money transfer or money gram tranfer to enable him
offsett shipping charges/arrangements.
After payment has reached you and balance sent back to
him, our agent will come for the pick
up on an open vehicle
and then drive to a pre paid shipper for
shipment,and
also conclude other necessary shipping arrangement
so you dont have to bother yourself about
the pick up and shipping arrangements,
while title papers and other necessary documets will be sent
by you via to my customer.
Please Confirm this and provide
FULL NAME,ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER for
check payment to be delivered to you.
Thanks for your time and co-operation.
Patty.

And here is my reply.

Patty,

The only form of payment I will accept is a money transfer to my bank. Once the bank has confirmed the funds I will have them issue me the title and I will meet whoever is purchasing this vehicle at a DMV office to perform a title transfer.

Thank you,

Kyle

Don't bother replying to their emails.. Total scam city man, run, don't walk, away!

I already called the police and left a message, they were all on lunch. I haven't told "Patty" to take a hike yet, if the police want to set up a sting I would be willing to help. There has to be local people involved to come get the truck. I wonder if they will give me a gun?
