So I really want to get rid of my ranger...
For a psd. I test drove an 04 with 6" of lift and bilstiens all the way around. Big banks turbo and 5" exhaust. Holy crap this truck was nice. Fully loaded. It hauled ***! As soon as the turbo spooled.... Damn. Took it up too 100 on the highway with no problems. My next truck will be a diesel!

Your crazy, I hate diesels. I hate the noise, I hate that the powerband is only down low, and I hate how low they rev. The only time you'd ever see me owning one is as a tow vehicle only. Never my DD.
I know what you mean, I always see them trying to race everyone. They think their trucks are a lot faster then they really are. The whole diesel truck fad will be over soon, and I can't wait.

well my truck wouldnt be a trail ONLY rig lol
still daily driveable
and i would definitely use the diesel for what its meant to be used for
towing.
as soon as i move back to vegas, the re-building of my grand prix will begin. stripped down. turbo'd. beefier tranny, etc
basically, it won't be street legal
and will need to be trailered to the track.

Some diesel trucks are damn fast....especially when tuned right. I've been in a few that would demolish a pretty much stock Mustang GT. There are all kinds of people in vehicles out there who think they are faster then they really are...its not just the diesel drivers. I blame it on the stupid people driving, not the truck.
I love diesels...and I wish I could afford one. One day I will be able too, and I will buy it and mod the hell out of it. Chances are I will tow with it, I will drive it daily, and I will race people...and I will love every damn second of it.
