"people who slam your door have no respect for your stuff." Not always true. My doors are heavy on my Ranger. It has the large round weatherstripping. I need a firm force to close the doors. A coworkers Mustang doors close easily. He feels that I am slamming his doors. I knew Sgt in the Air Force who had his doors adjusted to close super easy in his antique truck. I think a bird fart could close those doors.
If someone rides with you often and continues to do it after you ask them not too then that's different. Most people never get my doors closed the first time. They are adjusted fine just the weatherstripping causes the problem. The weatherstripping was replace in one area. I figure after a while they will settle in.
The guy with the Mustang asks everyone to close the door by pushing on the plastic trim. That way the paint won't get scratched cause it's dirty? If it's so important wash the car?

I SLAM my rear doors. Never really had a problem but it saves the time of reopening them in case they weren't shut right. I kinda slam my front doors close too though. Just to make sure they're closed 100% also.
When I'm pissed I've blasted the doors shut, lmao. Kinda surprised the windows held up a time or two. That'll teach them doors who's boss!

I hate it when people tell me to "not slam their doors" I am an old car guy, I drive old heavy cars that need a slamming. This is how I close doors. I Don't slam them so hard the car bounces, but yes some cars I do it harder than need be. It is not malicious and if your car can't handle it you have serious problems. Prove to me it hurts something.

the reason it seems the doors on the ranger seems hard to close i think it is well sealed try leaving a tiny crack in the window just dont roll them up all the way roll them up just eough to keep water out and get some window visers worked for me

I just sounds really bad when you have the window down on his Camero. You can hear the window bouncing around in there. So he always drive with the window up just enough so its in the seal a bit.
