Should I Fix My Mirrors?

Should I Fix My Mirrors?
Hi guys, long time since I've been on here after buying and tinkering with my Mustang (complete opposite of the truck ), however I'm sprucing. I apologize if this is in the wrong subforum, please move it if needed. (I searched and didn't see anything that fit this specific topic)
Anyways I have manual mirrors and the driver's side mirror is having issues not staying in place and centering back to an unuseable angle. I'm undecided whether to try and fix it or just buy a new one. Has anyone messed with the mirrors, are they generally easy to fix or should I just buy new ones?
Also a side point, it seems like my manual mirrors look different than the manual mirrors I see on most Rangers but like the power mirrors. Then I saw apparently they switched the mirrors in 96 for Mazdas and 98 for the Fords. Any truth to that discrepancy, it had me scratching my head for a while when I was looking for mirrors.
Thanks,
Justin
