Refilling battery with acid??

--I am posting this in here because in Off Topic, it never showed up on the "portal" so no one will ever see it.--

I picked up another quad yesterday, a 86 bayou 300. The thing would not start, and the battery was dead. But, the guy only wanted 400 and it had brand new itp mudlite tires on it, which i wanted to try to use on my ltz400 (stupid me but theres gotta be a way), so I offered him 300$ and he let me take it, came with a plow too!
Last night I took apart the carb and cleaned it, empty the gas put new gas in, put my tractor battery in and it starts right up and runs, no stalls.

Anyways, there is a nappa battery in it that is dead charging it does nothing. He gave me a bottle of battery acid. How do I do this? I took the capps of the top of the batt and can't see any liquid in the cells, but is it there? Do I have to remove the old acid first? or is it gone do you think? How would I remove it?

I would just go get a new battery. Go to a place like battery mart or something that exchanges batteries.

brand new batteries get an acid, but to top off you only need distilled water. Scrap it and get a new batt.
