we camped on top of that hill a few times..

one time i tried setting up my tent.. i was laying spread eagle in the ***** and couldnt keep the stakes in the ground, rolled it up, shoved it in the truck and had the genius idea of sleeping in the truck, then realized i took the doors off

THIS is a fire, we rolled up to this party, they had a tiny fire.. we had 3 long bed full size trucks FULL of pallats.. needless to say, it was about 30º and people were taking their shirts off. Its a SICK party up in the mountains, 9,000ft, 30-40+ people, beer pong.. FU*K.. i miss those days.

BAM!
thanks Shane.

Thanks to my buddy who towed me to Katemcy, I'm looking down the road i should have been looking down from the get go. fawk Obama's bill.. Once i get a 40-45hr job i'll be able to save pretty easily, then get an 02/03 PSD or CTD and build the ranger over the next year or two..... or three.

new engine/trans/tcase, new axles, new tires/wheels, back half, cage, full hydro.

that way I'll still have the ranger we all love (some love/hate) and with the truck i can get parts, and still haul my buddies rigs around in exchange for a guaranteed seat, walking sucks

again, still dreaming, 2 more days and i'll be looking at a new F150

if im buying something else to keep my truck, its gonna be a bigger truck so i have a way to get parts, tube, a welder etc. Then have something to haul my truck with when the time comes

read post 131
If my parents will let me keep driving my moms car for a while i'm gonna save some money up for a truck. I keep changing my damn mind so much idk what i want.

I had some sense finally knocked into me from one of my buddies.. don't know why i reconsidered after he talked to me and no one else phased me.

the truck will probably go away into a storage shed for a long long time.. i think its against the deed? or neighborhood rules or something.. to have the truck completely disassembled in my driveway.

hah yeah I know what you mean about changing ideas. I've almost sold my truck a few times, had a bronco, then thought about just getting a quad and getting a car, then a rhino. You getting all kinds of crazy idea when stuff like this happens.

I would say def. keep the Ranger as a base, save for a PSD. cause that would be a badass tow truck and DD. Could get a truck mounted welder on the beast too

What i might do, if i can find one with low enough miles and a manual t-case.. Is get a 99 F250 Lariat, Oxford white Ultimate tow rig! same year, same color.

So if i keep the ranger.. before i wheel again, at a bare minimum I'm gonna swap in a newer less abused 4.0 and trans, put a nice clutch in it then too and get a manual t-case.

i would like to be able to:
-swap the axles
-swap a bigger motor/trans/tcase
-redo the front suspension
-redo the steering
-gut the interior
-take out and sell the glass
-cage it

depends how patient i can be.

it blows not having a garage that the truck will fit into.

become friends with someone where the truck will fit in a shop.

btw you dont 'need' a PSD to tow a ranger, you 'want' a PSD to tow a ranger
