questions on borla exhaust? which model? cost?
so i'm finally gonna get an exhaust... i'm considering a borla pro xs but i'm not sure which model to get... for a 3.0 ranger i should get a 2.5 in/out, right? they have center in/out, offset in/out, etc etc and i'm not sure which one is right for my truck. also, i'm considering buying the exhaust and tip on ebay, then paying a local shop to bend some generic tubing and do the install... how much would i expect to pay for install/tubing only? (exclude muffler and tip)
here's the pro xs site:

Ive heard that these perform a bit better than magnaflows, any opinions on that? Finally, i'm thinking of getting a dual tip and having it come out in front of the rear passenger-side tire, 'prerunner' style, i guess. are there any advantages/disadvantages to having it there instead of dumping at an angle behind the rear passenger-side tire (basically like the stock exhaust)? How about exhaust fumes and such... would they be more apt to corrode or dirty the chrome wheel if i dump it before the tire?
thanks guys!!

i would get the center in offset out. it give the shop putting it on some more options.
i dont like infront of the wheel because it gets the wheel all dirty and colored.
it cost me 150 for SI/SO cat-back that is without the muffler and without the tip.
btw i have a 2.25in and 2.25 out on my truck and its a 4.0, i like it but everyone else thinks its too small. lol but everyone hase there opinions. ive had both 2.25 and 2.5 tubing, and i like the 2.25

i think the low-end is alot better with 2.25, once u go to 2.5 i think some is lost untill u get the flow(rpms) up the 2.25 maybe a little restrictive up around 5 grand and more but i dont get up that high but maybe once a day. lol
i dont have any numbers to prove what i just said but that is what it feels/seems like.
btw i would get model number
40351
or
40357
but u really just want a model that helps make the least amount of bends. like if you get offset in and offset out...
turn the muffler on its side then when it comes out the cat it is pretty much strait, then use the bend to your advantage because the pipe will need bent up to got over the axle.
see what i mean buy using the type of muffler that u need to you advantage by keeping the pipe bends to a minimum?
