Purchasing used 2002 ford ranger need help

Thinking about purchasing 2002 Ford ranger with 2WD, basic features, a 6 cylinder engine, and approx. 95K miles on it. Carfax record shows no major accidents and is in good condition. Its selling for about 5K. Is it a sound purchase?

Note sure about your area but around here I would say that's a little high. I'm not so great at pricing so I won't give you a number.

The average WA milage per year is 15K to 20K... so it is below that range, but it still seems high to me.

In my area that would be a good deal. You would pay $6000.00+ to get that truck in good shape.

Doesnt seem to bad.....just to give you an idea i bought my truck a year ago as a rainy day winter ride. Its a 2002 Ranger 4X4 XLT OFFroad Supercab with the 4.0 sohc had 78k when i bought it and was in perfect condition... I paid 10K.

I went to kelly blue book and ran your specs.....i put in that you had power windows and door locks cause you didnt state that but dealer price said $5300 and private sale price said $4100.....so it seems your in the right ball park

He said it had basic features so I don't think it had power anything.

I would say that $5000 is about $1k more than I would pay. Plus tax and title and all that.
