it can cause foaming, which is NOT good in ANY engine fluid situation, ie: transmission fluid, engine oil, gear oil, etc etc. check out the above link... they do some great tests and you can see firsthand what happens to the fluids with lucas additives in them!

the testing is more targeted towards engine and gear oils, but you get the idea.

interesting. but ill still use it. that stuff is awesome. if it was air bubbles it wouldnt make my trans shift better it would make it worse.

oh and i use locus oil in my diffs and do not have foaming issues.

I think I figured out what kinda trailer i want. Since I have a ranger I can only hold 2 people in it confortible and 3 crambed and lets not go 4. So I think I am going to look at a 6 x 12 type of trailer. I can fit 3 quads sideway in it and 2 sideways with more room. maybe a 6 x 15 would be nice but no smaller then 6x12

most 6 x 12s I have seen are single axle. Not very many tandems.

This trailer empty weights 1480 lbs.
1,500lb+300lb (tools) + 1,200lb (max quad that can fit) + 500lbs Misc = 3k

I am already pulled a 700lb trailer with 2 quads and 1 in the bed and a bumch of gear. I prally carried almost 2k last year to the dunes and had no problems go fast lol.

If I decied to get a tandem and got with teh 6x15 or 7x15 It would prally only add abouth 500 - 700lbs at max. So I think I have made up my mind.

thanks all. Now I just need to sell my 02 banshee and the 87 banshee maybe the tax check would help too and we might be brining a Covered trailer beard - o

psssh i hauled a 8ft trailer with a whole rental apartment worth of stuff and the bed of my truck for 3 hrs worth but before i did that i had to put a tow pkg cause my cusin put on a diff trailer and it was just the ball on the bumper so he was getting up to 55 mph and the trailer started fish tailing so it caused him to go sideways and almost roll my truck but didnt all he did was tweak my bumper a little then i put the tow pkg on but the said thing is i still had to go about 52-55 mph so it didnt fishtail at all SAVE ON THE GAS YA but my little 3.0L 5speed did pretty good so i thought i would share my story as well lol
