Alright well I find out that the leak coming from my truck is power steering fluid.. quite a lot of it.

Anyways I hoist the truck up this morning and find a horizontal tube loose and wobbling by the front axle.. It looks like it connects into some kind of hole by each wheel..however both ends of it aren't in the holes.

It must have shook loose or something? Anyways I'm not sure how I'll be able to put it back in. Will I have to take off the axle? Or should I just try to mess with it until it goes back in?

I can get pictures if you guys want. I'm not really sure what this tube is..

Yea take some pics. Then when you find where it goes get a small hose clamp and tighten it down real good.

 

I can't get a picture unless it's up on a hoist..its just too hard to see.

Does anyone have a diagram that has like every part/etc. on a '01 Ranger 4.0L 4x4?

 

If it is the tube on the front cross member it is the power steering cooler. It is just a line that air passes over to cool the fluid. It should have plastic clips that it snaps into.

 

Would it then leak if that were to come out of place?

There are a couple tubes on the front cross member so I'm not sure which one it is..
