I think that TOTM is good but if you are going to do it you need a STOTM, and an ORTOTM, or none at all. This forum is more orented towards off-road trucks, but their is a group of street trucks here to. As is a street truck will rarely/never get TOTM, because the ofroad trucks are all I ever see nominated. So I say both or none.

you cant put a label on offroad truck and street truck, cause unless someone here has a trail rig, they can be under street truck, and what defines street truck? i mean, does a stock height truck make a street truck? or do we need a stock totm? The more you get into it the more seperate everyone wants it, and then you run out of trucks to nominate cause everyones getting nominated each month

I don't know if requirements are necessary: if someone nominates it for street truck, it gets voted on as a street truck. If nominated for offroad, it gets voted on as an offroad truck.
So, basically, if a vehicle doesn't "cut it" in one or the other category, it won't be selected. Let normal voting sort it out -- I see no reason to have rules about it.
Mines 2WD, but if you nominated it for a street truck it would lose big, lol. It may not win as an offroad truck; but I don't doubt it would get more votes in that category.
So, I think if you make two categories it will sort itself out in the voting and we don't need to get hung up in "definitions".
In fact, once the heavy mod trucks have won the less modded and even well detailed stockers have a chance. Probably do need a rule that you can only win this one time for the SAME TRUCK. You can't keep modding your truck and win again -- ever. But if you change trucks, then you're in the running.
However, you can win twice: if you do a lifted truck and win, then lower it and win -- that would be in two different categories and that's okay. We've had guys do that around here and I think it would be a hoot to see someone get TOTM for street AND lifted in two different months (or years, lol).

i like truck of the month. on broncoii.org on the front page we have a page linked dedicated to all the past ROTM (rig of the month) winners.
http://www.broncoii.org/b2stables/rotm/index.html
through november we had discussions on having two ROTM, and the staff decided that having a street and dirt truck of the month was worth a try, even though we only have about 900 members.. to get nominated for dirt you had to have proof of actually wheeling, no flex shots in the driveway but actual wheeling. just some thoughts.
