I dunno if this has been posted before or if anyone is interested, but I just found online MTV's Pimp My Ride when they redid a 1985 Ford Ranger 2wd.

The finished truck actually doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be, but still is obviously wayyy too flashy and lame.

They used the wrong tailgate 1st gens had the indented gate. Not to sure on the color or 90% of the other mods ether lol.

 

I've always been a fan of painted hard covers like that. but everything else is fugly.

 

for the 30k they spent on redoing it, they should of just gave the kid a new F150!

they didn't even MENTION performance, engine, anything drivetrain. I guess I'll just assume they fixed that....

if they hadn't painted the wheels, put all that goofy **** in the bed, and had painted it a solid color instead of those graphics it would look pretty good I think. I'd take half that junk off and sell it. he probably did honestly.

 

The only thing I don't get, is why didn't they paint the door jambs the same color?

i agree with mike didn't look that bad if they didn't put the graphics on and painted the rims, the bed was just ****ing stupid i'd lagh my *** offif he was actually playing video games in it and a torrential down pour started, lol, and now he has no were for a spare tire, and i thought it was funny too how they both *****ed about drivetrain and running but didn't seem to fix any of that.

 

It was a show designed for the 14-22 age group, Not really about fixing cars but making them "look pretty"

over haulin is the best, the 1st gen they ruined probly ran like still fns like ****, and i'm even in the 14-22 age group and i think its one of the gayest showes ever ranks along with the disney channel in my book lol, that woud funny as hell if the owner of that ranger was on that site and was reading this though lol :D
