Picked up and installed some stuff over the weekend
Went to the junkyard on Friday and Picked up my front axle out of a 03 ranger 4.10 gears, I also found a cargo cover while I was there, so I snatched it. And yesterday I finally got my CB installed, And found a killer deal on some lvl 2 tow hooks on Craigslist for $50! Here are some pics, and some questions:
It needs a good wire wheel cleaning, and primed/painted. Is there anything thats missing from this that's supposed to be there? all the mounts are there, I know that much.
This was just laying in the truck so I don't have any of the bolts or the clips. Could somebody possibly be able to get some for me, It would be greatly appreciated. I would obviously pay for however much it would be.
CB installed:
Do I have to take it somewhere to get the antenna tuned or can I do it?
And the tow hooks:
I need to figure out how to modify these to fit for a bodylift somehow.
Any help would be awesome!
Thanks,
Clay

I just need 4 bolts and 4 of those little tabs for the screws to go in. I don't think it matters what color the cover is, but the one I got is Tan.

I was in freaking shock when i saw these on Craigslist cause I'm always looking for stuff for rangers around here and there never is anything. The cool thing is the guy I bought them off of, is building a custom front bumper on his lvl 2 I told him about R-F, so I hope he joins. How do you mod the hooks for a bodylift?

Radio shack carries them, that's where I got mine! Here is some information to read up on.
SWR-INTRO kinda long, but if you can absorb this, you will have a perfectly tuned antenna!

In regards to your cleaning and painting the axle....I wouldn't. Just pressure wash the housing, and if you want, wire wheel and prime and paint the cover. It's an aluminum housing for light weight and if you paint it, internallly it would heat up and heat = gear killer.
