elimiate the driveshaft all together! lol.

reading your first post, i figured you'd be the one painting it which means little to no money spent at all, which is a BIG plus.

i think it may look cool.... but, like the other guys are saying, it may take away from the truck unexpectidly (i probably spelled that wrong). i'd do what Wayne suggested... use the blue painters tape and wrap it with that the way you intend the stripes to be.. if it looks good and looks like you expected, then i say go for it.. if it looks funny, then no harm done- peel off the tape.

now... with that said.... i feel like saying this.....

lol

I've had my rusty steel DS painted for over a year now, I dont get any vibrations from it. I used a can of no rust primer and silver paint over that.

I dont think you'll have to worry about it throwing off the balance zach, it would have to be some HEAVY paint to do that.

I say go for it, be different..

I agree try it. If your really worried about it detracting from the truck maybe do it sonic blue and black to tone it down a little bit.

I would maybe paint a little stripe up top (maybe 2 inches wide) where its very hard to see and see what the indiana winter does to it. Cuz I would hate for you to go threw all the work and then winter tears it up.

Not sure how it would look standing still but... what about one half black and one half white? Get that thing up to speed and I bet it would look interesting... and your driveshaft would look like it blinks as you drive past at low speeds...

Zach do what you want with your truck as long as you like thats all that matters. I t would look cool if you could see the colors while it was spinning.

Zach, I can't remember the last time I've said this about anything you've wanted to do to your truck, but that in my opinion that would be a terrible idea.

that is probably why I have not done it and probably why i asked because I am unsure if it will look right.

btw I am not going to paint it or even polish it. thanks for the opinions though
