Not overheating but running hotter than usual.
I’ve had a 1987 Ranger 2.3 since July. Even in the summer it was showing very cool on the instrument cluster thermostat. Lately it’s been getting about half way up on the thermostat and I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if this is a sign of bad things to come. All help appreciated thanks guys. If coolant system not serviced recently, or as new owner service history is unknown,
best do that:
~ New ThermoStat+Hoses+Clamps+HeaterValve+CoolantPump+Fa n+FanClutch+Belt+RadiatorCap
~ Radiator: Inspect For Cracks+Leaks, InternalFlush, ExternalFlush+PickClean, If 100kMiles+ Best To Replace New
~ Foreward+BackwardFlush HeaterCore, Reverse Hoses\Flow
~ Fresh Coolant Fill+Burp
