Need shocks and a clutch.
It's coming time to replace the shocks and clutch in my 02 XLT (FX4 package), 5 speed, 4wd.
I'm nearing 80K and this poor truck has been to Hell and back. I have a 4 day weekend coming up so it's maintenance time.
The stock shocks are Bilsteins. Where the hell do I find them? I've heard KYB are a suitable replacement but I really want to stay stock.
The clutch... I have NO idea what to put in there. I've heard Centerforce is a good brand but way overpriced.
Here's my question, bottom line:
Where can I get Bilstein shocks, and if not, what to install? Also, what's a good clutch to get? I want to go above stock on this one.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

I had purchased my Bilsteins online off eBay years ago. I highly doubt the same seller is still around, but I've seen several other sellers with the same product for cheap. I'd stick with Bilsteins personally. As for the clutch. Mine was replaced back in 05 or 06.....been way to long to remember which one I used. I know it wasn't a big brand name though, but it's still doing what it's suppose to be doing....LOL

As for the clutch, I guess I'll have to do more research.

look at the rancho shocks. they came on f-150s.
as for clutches, someone recommended this site awhile ago.

4 Bilstein Shocks 98-05 Ford Ranger 4x4 w/ 0-1" of lift: eBay Motors (item 230538354844 end time Nov-13-10 11:29:55 PST)
So that means they are superior to Bilsteins?

Because Bilsteins are a BRAND NAME! I shouldn't have to troll Ebay for a brand name part.
Yeah anyway I saw $256 and I thought YIKES! Then I realized that there are all four for sale. I guess that's not too bad of a price.
As for the clutch, I'll check out Fords kit but I'm wanting something TOUGH so I'll never need another clutch again, and so I can tow heavier loads.

the bilsteins were only on level2's and 2002 fx4 offroad's, when they no longer offered the level 2 in 2008 they went to the rancho shocks.
bilstein is known as a much higher quality brand then rancho (edelbrock) either one will work just fine.
here is a good link for shocks Off Road Warehouse - Shocks Bilstein Shocks Lifted Applications Ford Bilstein Shocks
as for a clutch I plan to go with the centerforce when I need one, Ive heard good and bad things about them.

Which happens to be the exactly what I own
Why does this have to be such a difficult thing to do? Everything I look at online has about 500 different options of what it could fit. For example, in that link you posted, the one shock is listed as:
Bilstein Shock - Front Lifted 2 FORD F250/F350 4WD 99 Bilstein
So it's for a 99 that's lifted 2"? LOL and why am I seeing question marks in all the ads?

then you need to spend money on a good clutch. center force is what i would get. i just bought a stock replacement for my truck i really wanted a center force but i couldnt afford one right now. my buddy put one in his f150 and it was a world of difference.
