Need Math Help - 32" tires, Inaccurate speedo for 20K miles = how many real miles?
I'm looking at a 2001 XLT 2WD.
The guy put a 5.5" Lift on it and 32" tires on it. He says the tires have been on there for "about 15,000 - 20,000" miles.
The speedo is wrong, so basically I'm wondering what the real mileage on that truck would be.
Thanks in advance.
Also, he said he has a Jet chip on it, I haven't really read anything good about Jet, would this actually damage the Ranger in any way?

The truck has "32" tires now which are actually about 31.5~31.7" diameter when new. The originals were probably 235/75R15 which have a 28.9" diameter. You can verify the original tire size by checking the sticker on the DS door jamb.
15000 indicated x (31.7/28.9) = 16453 actual
20000 indicated x (31.7/28.9) = 21938 actual
15000 indicated x (31.7/28.9) = 16453 actual
20000 indicated x (31.7/28.9) = 21938 actual
