Need advice on an older Ranger
I just purchased a 2011 Ranger single cab 4 cyl. Tire size is 225 70 15. I'd like to put a lift on it but not sure how many inches. Don't want to jack it up and look ridiculous. Also, in the event I don't put a lift kit on it I would still like to get bigger wheels. Can I get 17's put on it without the wheelwell rubbing the tires? New to this forum and looking for advice. Does anyone have pics of custom rims? And what's a good company for custom rims?
Thanks!

You can put on 19" wheels, its the size of the tires ON the 19" wheels that matter
225 70 15 tire is 28" diameter and 9" wide
215 60 17 tire is 27"diameter and 8.5" wide, so a smaller size but bigger wheels
In general you can use a 1.5" larger diameter tire than the stock tire size, and maybe 1" wider
Have a look around this site: https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/
It gives diameters and widths
And as said, a 19" wheel and tire that will fit: https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/235-55R19.htm
21" wheel size here, that fits although pushing the limit of 1.5" increase, lol: https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/245-45R21.htm
Some custom wheel makers and tire sellers have Visualizers, it allows you to see your Ford Ranger, i.e. year color, regular or extended cab, with their wheels and tires

Thanks for the reply. I def need to visualize it. I understand what you wrote. I'm going for a certain look. I don't want the tires to "stick out" rather just have a nice profile and for the truck to be a few inches higher. I would like to customize it but be practical regarding gas mileage. I don't want a truckasaurus - just something fun. Thanks again I appreciate it.
