NC members...ever had trouble with clear corners?

Have any NC members with clear corners been harassed by the police or anybody about them? I'd like to get some, but not if I am getting pulled over all the time for them.

i wish i lived in NC....the border is just 20 minutes from me too...which pisses me off...haha. virginia is gay and has strict laws on EVERYTHING....

EVERYTHING is legal in NC, dont worry about it...2 1/2 percent tint? O-K!!! 20" suspension lift? NO PROBLEM!!!

dont sweat it, go for them, they make all trucks look better.

I hear in VA, radar detectors are illegal... and i thought Maryland was bad.

We can have radar detectors and VA can have (real) fireworks.

The world has a weird way of balancing itself out.

Yep, radar detectors are illegal in VA.

Guess I'll be getting the clears then. Can anyone recommend an eBay seller? I'm always cautious about buying stuff on eBay, but they are soooo much cheaper there.

depends where in NC, some places dont care, but around where i live, a friend of mine got a TICKET for red washer nozzles. and we do have tint limits in NC. whatever you do, make sure they light up orange, or even at a stretch white. dont make them like up a diff color or youll be asking for trouble. most cops dont care about that kind of stuff, but some do.

what you could do, and ive thought of doing is to get some round orange reflectors and put on the sides of the bumpers. i think the law is only that you must have orange reflectors on the side. swat let me know. also where in NC??

Guess I'll pass on them then. I know many officers don't care, but the first time I get pulled for them, my parents will make sure they stay off and that's $40 wasted.

just go with em, and pop in some amber/red/orange bulbs....BAM (emeril live sound) and u're legal

and as far as gettin them off e-bay, u can if u want, but i say go to www.stylinconcepts.com and get them brand new there...e-by has always seemed kinda shady to me

I looked at SC and they are like $50 there before shipping. Since they are illegal here I will pass on them...my parents don't want me coming home with any more tickets.

read my post above, its pretty easy to make it legal, if swat will verify my idea. i had them on my truck here and my wifes truck now, clear corners with orange LEDs, and i never got into any trouble with them, but if youre worried about it you could add the orange reflectors anywhere on the side of the front of your truck, bumper fender, etc

Reflectors won't work, law reads that you must have orange reflectors in the corners, no whilte light can come from those lights

I don't know how well orange reflectors would look. The LEDs are a good idea, but that's more work than I had in mind just for clears.

If you're scared to break the law... Don't!

It's as simple as that.

As far as clear corners go, i wouldnt worry about it. They may only give you a warning for it if you get pulled over for something else.

Example:
I got pulled over for speeding and got a ticket. I also got a warning for failure to display my front tag.

They probably wouldnt have gotten me for the tag if i hadnt been speeding.

I have clears too and have never had any problem. Either when I was pulled over by Bragg cops or when I had my accident, nothing was said during either. Just make sure you put a orange bulb in there and you will be fine.

i have seen all kinds of diffrent lights and light fixtures around here so i have no idea. but i do know that a red or blue light on the front of a vehical is illegal because it makes it look like an emergency vehical. swat are offroad light covers required here?

have you ever pulled someone over for clear corners before?

seriously, i cant speak for everyone or for the site, but for me and my truck, half the **** could be illegal. And if it is, ill take the ticket for it, but i have yet (in 3 years of owning my truck) have been pulled over or ticketed for anything on my truck. I did get asked about my front plate while getting a speeding ticket, i told him i took it off and he said its required to be on, but i got no ticket (and its still off )

I have amber bulbs in my corners, looks like its stock, but theres no amber reflector so its not, yet i dont get harrased by it, but it could happen, you can get caught by a cop that does it by the book, or one that knows every law by heart and wants to pull you over, but honestly, if a cop has nothing better to do then pull you over for your corner lights not reflecting orange, then let the man do his job.

either do it or dont, if you're worry about it, then dont do it, if you think you can get away with it, then do it, just what out for that guy

yeah, thats kinda is messed up about being pulled over for clears. I've got clears all the way around and I've yet to be pulled here in South Carolina. Thing is that I don't even have yellow bulbs in the clears. Still running white lights for the turn signals and parking lights.

I had the black surround clears and have been in all sorts of states with blue-ish bulbs in there. North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Canada...I haven't been pulled over for them. Now, I have been pulled over while having them, and they haven't ever said a thing.

I am just waiting to get pulled over in Mississippi I have green front turn signals behind the standard amber lens and they are bright, when I get a chance I will post pics.
