My truck was in the shop today!

Only 2300 Miles and the 1st problems have crept up. I have been getting a bad squeal on cold, wet start-ups so I planned for my truck to be at the dealers on a rainy morning and good thing they heard it. Sure enough, it was my serpentine belt that needed to be replaced.

I have also been having some Brake Sqeeking so they Adjusted, cleaned and lubed my brakes. I dont think it has totally taken care of the problem but I will wait to pass judgement until after I drive it some more.

One thing that did bother me though was that last night I just got my letter in the mail for the tranny fluid recall. Why didnt they do this before I bought my truck? The recall was out long before I bought it so they could have and should have done it then. Oh well, atleast I got it done quickly and already had an apt scheduled.

And last but not least, I got my 1st oil change complimentary of the sales dept. Next time I will be switching over to Amsoil but I figured since it was free, I might as well get it done.

mkjtg99 I don't see what your problem is :) Basic maintenance, don't worry. You should learn how to do all those checks yourself; you'll save a bundle. My belt squeaks when it gets wet too, aka offroading or snow, bad rain, BIG puddles.

Even if I did know how to do it all myself, with 2000 miles I would still be taking it back to the dealer. I never really wanted to get involved with brakes anyway. I will always leave that to the pros.

Oh ok no prob. All that stuff is really easy once you learn it. Its just that initial step thats the hard part. :)
