**vibrating**

i'm a senior in high school and was in auto class mounting my 33's. after they were on my truck i had my buddy turn the wheel while the truck was off to see if the tires would rub. well i guess this is what did it. because when i left the shop the power steering was bad. the wheel was vibrating and i looked on the floor of the shop and saw fluid dripped. sure enough it was power steering fluid. so i took a look under the hood and the cap was on still to the power steering fluid. nothing is broken. just power steerin fluid everywhere around the resevoir. theres a little hole on the cap ( i guess for pressure ) and maybe the fluid shot out that little hole??? idk anyone have any ideas as to what happened? my pump? thanx

Yea, the fluid shot through that little hole. I've done it a couple times and it shot out onto the hood and whatever else. When you turn the wheel, the fluid level in the resivior rises. I always start the engine if im going to turn the wheel much. As far as the vibration goes, thats because theres air in the lines. Just turn the wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right a few times and the air will get out. If it wines when you get done, its because the fluid is airated (has bubbles in it) and it will go away after a few minutes.

Ya dude, I have done it before. Shot all over the hood and the like mat think on the hood has a wet spot on it all the time. Mine did it to me because instead of starting the truck to move it I just pushed the clutch in and let it rolled while turning the wheel.
