If i were closer, i would trade mirrors with you. Find someone with solid black mirrors to trade with instead of painting.
Remove the door panel, and its 3 nuts in the front. Be careful, the nuts are VERY easy to drop inside the door, then you have to take all the covering off the door to find them (which is a major PITA). Its a lesson that I have learned from experience...

thats an effect from the camera. it doesn't do that in real life.
and nobody will want these mirrors. the driver side has a pretty good crack in it. damn trees when i was offroading in the snow. but i had to get some good glue for the crack, because the mirror was rattling a lot. i was lucky i didnt break it off.
