Man I am glad I have larger tires

So we are having some pretty bad winds here. Causing power outages and breaking tree limbs off and what not. Anyway I was on the hwy heading back from my gf's. It was pitch black besides my headlights and I'm cruising at about 55-60. All of a sudden I saw something at the end of my head lights and by the time I did it was to late. It ended up being a branch about 2-3" round. Ran over it. Didn't affect anything and the truck drove great after it. Thinking about it though if I would of had my stock size tires or been driving any of my previous vehicles I would of done damage to them for sure. I got very lucky having my 32" tires!

Yea...it is coming down in Bham as well.

I am pretty sure my car would have died...like exploded. I tried going over and dead squarel the other day, my front skid plate took it out and then my cats finished the job.

Yeah bham and to the south is definitely getting the worst of it. I was looking at the radar and there was a wicked looking bow echo just south of bham.

Yea my GF drove back from Haleyville to Bham last night and said it wasn't too bad until she got home. All the while, it was super windy and lightning everywhere here.

I love my big tires they saved me a lot of body work had it not been lifted with 33's....this old couple pulled out in front of me i swerved at the last second still made contact and when i got out, there was a huge black mark on there car, my tires deflected their car from hitting mine i was so happy to have a lifted truck at that moment

Lifted trucks and 4x4's FTW!

I hit a rabbit with my Celica and tore the entire front bumper off. That was doing a good 70mph too.

With my slammed B2200, my muffler hang about a quarter inch below the frame rail, which itself was already an inch and a half from the ground. Doing 70mph on the highway, I hit a piece of debris which the truck infront of me swerved for and I didnt see til it was too late and caught it wih my muffler and tore my exhaust off.

So far, my 4x4 has gone everywhere I've asked it to go without getting stuck too badly or damaged.

Had I been driving the Ranger the night I hit the deer, it would have been totaled. Luckily, it went UNDER my Dodge because of how high it sits.

I think it did throw my alignment out of whack, though.

Back in 2000 I bought a new 01 Edge 4x4 and left it bone stock.....When the truck was only two weeks old I was coming home from work late at nite on the e-way and got a surprize!!!
I was following a Caravan in the fast lane doing 75-80mph and we were passing a slower semi on our right side. Just as the caravan cleared the semi it swerved hard right and right in my path was a HUGE dead deer!! With a semi to my right side, center wall to my left I could nothing other than hold the wheel and hit the deer at full speed, there was MAYBE 2 seconds for me to react. It sounded like my truck exploded when I hit it! My truck jumped ,landed and swerved all over like it was the General Lee. I got off at the next exit and started checkin out my truck and other than chunks of deer on my front crossmember and t-case skid plate I only got a nice scuff on my front bumper cover.
