Buy a pair of keys on eBay for a few bucks... A dealer will cut and program for about $50.

That's what I had to do.

oddly enough, i too lost my keys tuesday. i have one dummy key for unlocking, but doesnt start the truck. stealership wants $30 for a new key, and $90 to program it, and recommends i get two keys, so i'm looking at $150 + towing because they have to hook it to a computer.

the tech on the phone told me their database only goes to 2002...

do i have any other options having the one dummy key and knowing the programing code located under the glove box?

For what its worth, I got charged 150 for two sets of keys. Tech came to my house and programmed the keys. I ended up finding my original keys but it didnt work anymore. Makes a good spare.

I hate pats im glad my truck doesnt have it $1.50 at a hardware store for a key for me. I wounder if there is a way for you guys to disable pats?
Ive seen some aftermarket remote start systems require another kit to disable the pats for the remote start to work. Wounder if you could use the bypass kit to kill pats?

Same. I have about 5 spares around for my non-PATS truck.

I also lost mine, then had the truck towed, and two keys made for like $130. This was only to find the original set laying in my garage. But, my keys still worked, so now I have lots of spares.

If you found your chipped keys after the fact, you can still program them yourself so that ALL your keys work.

I've got 4 working keys and one dummy key at the moment.

My truck came with 1 key and no remotes. I bought key blanks and remotes from Ebay. Took them to a dealer and had copies on my blanks was about $50. I had him program the remotes for $35 each.
DON'T LET THEM PROGRAM REMOTES!! The owner's manual tells how to reprogram the remotes so save yourself a bunch of money. I don't remember the price on Ebay for the remotes. Seems to me they were $20-25 each.

A tuner can bypass the PATS stuff just check with the tuner to make sure it can be bypassed. Otherwise keys are expensive along with dealer programming. Upside is if you lock them in the truck its easy to break in and get them out.
