Light bar size and seat covers

what size curved light bar fits over the windshield on a 2007 ranger? I can’t find a direct answer online. And where is the best place to buy seat covers?

Measure across the roof, from door opening to door opening.

Go on line and see what is out there for the size you measured.

Most Shops have a fitment matrix, see if the Ranger is in there.

Usually, with LED Lighting Bars, especially the Over the Windshield Mounting, you need specific mounting brackets and Light width, so you should make sure to specify your year ranger.

This is how I would do it, and thank God most place have that fitment matrix.

Funny that you should ask about the light bar, as I just unboxed my 50" curved light bar. I haven't mounted it yet, but I snapped a pic so you could see the size of the light bar in relation to the windshield and truck as a whole. As far as seat covers, Amazon has just about everything you could think of; a few brands that I like for the Ranger in particular are Carhart and CatSkinz (not sure on the spelling of that). Anyway, here is a pic with my 50" curved bar propped up on top of my cab. I should mention that my Ranger is a 99 xcab, but I think that the cab dimensions are the same, at least close enough when it comes to sizing up a light bar. Hope this helps!

That should look great, seems the acceptable way to use them now.

Wondering... are there mounts specifically for the Ranger Cab ?

Where do the Mounts put the LED Bar in relation to the windshield ? Does it mount the Bar forward of the windshield ?

I've gotta ask, why mount a light on the roof ?

Too much light on the roof can reflect a glare back to the cab.

Are you high speed racing ?

I am mounting LEDs on the roof because I want more light when off roading, and there are lots of critters on the back roads that I use to get around. Have you seen what a deer can do to a Ranger at 60mph? I already have LEDs in the headlights and fog lights, and because I don't want to remove my tow hooks or cut my front bumper or grille so the roof was the only place left. The high mounting point should allow for superior light distribution. If I find that I am getting too much light reflecting off of the white hood back into the cab, I am going to apply a temporary flat black peel coat to the hood to cut back on the glare. Additionally, I don't plan on using the light bar on the highway, so blinding other motorists won't be an issue.
*in addition to the aforementioned reasons for mounting a light to the roof, If I didn't admit that I also enjoy the aesthetics, I'd be lying.

Thx for the reply, I'm not telling you which is better, just wondering why some people do it one way versus another.

Yes to all of the above but Off-Roading is slow moving vehicles, lower light is better, wide extended down the trail is goos lights.
OK on the hood, I am going to change my hood to black or a Gunmetal color, still thinking and it will reduce the glare.

Thanks again for the great reply, I don't think I will mount more than a Visor and small clearance lights, everyone is different.

Keep posting picture, a lot has been done, yes it has !

Off roading, lots of critters on the road,

Why the heck are you doing 60 mph in such dangerous conditions ?
