lifted truck insurance

Hey guys,

I was wondering what insurance company most of you guys are with. I am with statefarm, but they said if I install any kind of lift or bigger tires they will drop me. I called around and everyone I talked to said that they don't insure lifted trucks unless you get HIGH risk insurance which is retarded. Do you just put the lift kits or body lifts in and not say anything? Something about modifying the center of gravity of the truck.

Thanks.

I have USAA and they don't insure radar detectors and liquor. That's about it. And they're super cheap.

thats wierd. theyve i have ohio casualty and theyve never seen any of my familys vehicles. at least not till i wrecked my old z71, then the adjuster had to look at it. thatd be the time they **** you in the ***... they dont ask nething but vin and such then you get in a fender bender or total the mother ****er out and the adjuster goes to look at your truck only to find you have a lift and oversize tires. then theyd be like "oh, were not gonna pay bc if you wouldnt have done that stuff to it you probably wouldnt have had the accident."

I have State Farm. My truck is lifted and no one cares. Do they inspect your vehicle or something?

I've thought about it and wondered how much it would raise my rates being all modded up. But I would like them to pay for the extra stuff on the truck if anything were to happen. Just never asked.

I have Safeco and they've never asked and after 2 accidents no one has seen the trucks... as long as I use their body shop it's no questions asked.

id check those state farm stuff, i know they changed their policy and are dropping lifted trucks. also when you get in that wreck with a lifted truck they have every right not to cover you.

i have farm bureau insurance, they cover both my 05 150 and my 03 ranger both are modified in some way, they cover what i ask them to cover(mods etc). i pay about 700 for both every 6 months. full coverage.

I have Progressive. They dont care about any modifications as long as its street legal. if its not legal and an insurance claim is made, they said they couldnt cover it. They also had an option to add the value of the aftermarket mods to the premium. I put an additional $2500 on there so i can get that much for my mods if I wreck my truck. pretty cool deal... My last company, Gieco had nothing like that.
