KC Slimlites trouble shooting question

Got the slimlites mounted up today. Drove down to the bottom of my field and turned them on to aim them - everything went perfect. Drove back up to the driveway (200 yds ish) with them on - working great.

Then I drove about 5 mins down the road to the state forest to drive around with them in the woods for a while, hit the switch and only one came on. Checked all the connections including those inside the light housing, and they all appear to be good. Bulb looks fine. What could my problem be?

Tomorrow morning I'm planning to unbolt both lights from their bases and plug the one I know is good into the wiring of the one that isn't coming on and vice-versa. If it doesn't come on, I've got a wiring problem. If it comes on, I guess I've got a defective light. In the meantime if anyone has come up against this before and might be able to help let me know. Everything seems to be wired correctly, and the light did come on origionally...I'm pretty stumped. Hopefully KC is good about their warranty if something is wrong with this light.

Well...turned out to be the bulb. Tried the good light plugged into the bad light's wiring and she turned on, switched the bulbs and that turned out to be the problem. Filament looks fine...not sure what killed it. Got a 100W replacement at NAPA to hold me over...question now is why did the bulb die after about 6 mins of use? Hopefully can chalk it up to bad luck and won't have the problem again...but any reason it would die so quick as far as maybe a wiring error goes?
