Full length console:
Two 8mm head bolts into the dash (under the storage cubby or trip computer, depending on options. Either pulls off without tools). Disconnect the electrical plug(s). Remove two more 8mm or 10mm head bolts into the floor (under the cupholder insert). The back of the console has a lip that slides under a metal bracket riveted to the floor, so push it backwards after the 4 bolts are out. Some consoles slide out easily; others require the gorilla approach. If you want the floor bracket, bring a cordless drill and bits.
Half console:
Remove the cupholder up front (pull straight up) and pop out the the 2 oval inspection caps at the rear sides of the console. Remove the bolts and screws underneath. There may be another screw or two holding it down, so look around. As the fasteners are removed, lift off the armrest and then the console. Then remove the nuts holding the cast mounting bracket to the floor. You'll need a small socket set and a #2 phillips screwdriver.
